2. Why do we use them on lacai.net?
We use these technical solutions strictly to ensure account security, protect the platform from automated attacks (data scraping), secure payments, and quickly deliver media content and technical support through our partners.

Without these technologies, our core features, transactions, and security rules cannot be guaranteed. They cannot be disabled in the system.

- Payment Security (Stripe): Our authorized payment processor, Stripe, uses strictly necessary cookies to assess fraud risks, verify identity during payment processing, and securely manage recurring subscriptions and the Split Payment system.
- E-commerce and Bookings (WooCommerce & HivePress): I retain the items in "My Cart," the booked services, and the publication status of Marketplace listings until the order is completed.
- Local Storage for Real-Time Interactions: We use "Local/Session Storage" for scripts (AJAX) that enable real-time updates to Private Messaging windows without requiring a page reload.
- Consent Management (CookieYes): This module stores your cookie preferences (what you have accepted or rejected in the banner) and is essential for our legal compliance with GDPR regulations.
B. Performance and Infrastructure Cookies (CDN)
These ensure the platform's performance on a global scale.
- Media and Cloud Delivery (Bunny.net): User-generated content (photos, videos, files) is processed and delivered via the CDN infrastructure (Bunny.net). This network places technical cookies to optimize bandwidth (caching) and ensure the security of media streams.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Collects aggregated and anonymized data about traffic and how visitors interact with the site, helping us improve the platform’s performance without identifying individual users.
- WooCommerce Analytics: Track sales trends, Marketplace product performance, and the effectiveness of marketing campaigns—it’s an internal tool for optimizing inventory and offers.
C. Functional and Third-Party Cookies
These are enabled by plugins integrated into the site to provide you with advanced features and support.
- Translation and Multilingualism (Weglot): We use the Weglot service to allow you to browse the platform in multiple languages. It places cookies to remember the language you have selected, so that your experience remains consistent throughout your visit.
- Technical Support (Tawk.to / Live Chat): Our technical support module uses cookies to retain your chat session and conversation history as you navigate between pages on the platform.
- Dynamic Geolocation (Google Maps / Mapping Services): When you access nearby listings or map features, the platform may ask for your permission to access your location. Mapping services place cookies to remember your display preferences and calculate distances.
- Embedded Multimedia Content (Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo): When you view profiles that have embedded videos from external sources, these third-party platforms may set their own cookies for analytics and playback tracking, in accordance with their own policies.
- Interface Preferences: Save your visual settings and the state of interface elements.
- Important note: lacai.net does not use behavioral profiling cookies or artificial intelligence algorithms to manipulate or prioritize posts in your social feed (Social Activity), which is displayed exclusively in chronological and organic order.
4. Control and Duration of Cookies
Storage duration: We use session cookies (which are automatically deleted when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain on your device for a predefined period or until you manually delete them, for example, to remember your selected language).
The mechanism on the Website (CookieYes): You can manage and change your preferences at any time directly through the consent module (banner) displayed on the website, where you have the option to accept or reject categories of non-essential cookies, such as Analytics or Third-Party cookies.
Technical note: Google Search Console does not place cookies on visitors' devices; it is used exclusively by the Administrator to monitor search engine indexing.
